SC Caste Certificate vs OBC and EWS Certificates

Applicants sometimes confuse SC status with OBC or EWS. Unlike an OBC certificate, an SC caste certificate does not need a separate "Non-Creamy Layer" certificate or income-based renewal — SC status is based purely on birth into a caste notified in the SC list, and once issued, it is valid for life. EWS, on the other hand, is only for the general/unreserved category and cannot be claimed if you already hold an SC certificate.
